Dr. Lindsey Conway - Medical Director -Medical Director

Originally from northeast Texas, Dr. Conway is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. During her clinical year at LSU she was introduced to integrative medicine, specifically acupuncture. Dr. Conway loved the improvement that each patient experienced and decided to incorporate that into her career after graduation. She soon became a certified veterinary acupuncturist via the Chi University and received her certification for veterinary medical manipulation (chiropractic) a few years later. Dr. Conway’s main passion is incorporating acupuncture and chiropractic care into Western medicine to allow the best, well-rounded options for her patients. She also enjoys soft tissue surgeries and has taken a recent focus in emergency medicine after working in general practice for the last 5 years.

In her spare time Dr. Conway enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and hiking with her husband and their (numerous) dogs. They also have 3 cats and 1 snake, Reese Slitherspoon.

Dr. Mohammad Abdelhameed -Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Mohammad Abdelhameed or “Dr. Mo” grew up in Jordan where he used to help his grandfather on the family farm. He especially loved caring for the litters of puppies they would have. He attended veterinary school in Jordan at Jordan University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2008. After working for several years in a mixed animal practice he decided to pursue a masterʼs degree in molecular biology at Fort Hays State University at Kansas, focusing his thesis on Prion disease in pigs. Missing veterinary medicine, he started working as a veterinary technician at Town and Country until finally completing requirements to obtain his official veterinary credentials here in the United States. Dr. Mo began working full time as a veterinarian in April 2022 here at Town and Country and we are as happy to have him as he is to be here.

Dr. Braxton Norris -Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Braxton Norris was born in East Texas, but spent most of his childhood and teen years growing up in Cypress, Texas. It was there spending time on his family property taking care of pet horses, dogs, cats, sheep, goats, guinea pigs, and even hermit crabs, where his excitement and passion for animals grew.

Dr. Norris attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences. He ultimately traveled to California where he graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a DVM degree in 2024. Following veterinary school, Dr. Norris underwent a rotating equine internship at Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center focused in equine emergency/critical care medicine, lameness, surgery, reproduction, farm calls, and wellness.

He is excited to see his beloved companion animal patients again in which his passions include small animal surgery, emergency medicine, and wellness care.

Dr. Norris enjoys sports and spending time outside hiking, grilling, or at the lake where you might catch him enjoying a ride on his paddle board or jet ski.

Melissa -Veterinary Lead Assistant

Melissa “Mel” was Born and raised in Houston, Texas and was inspired by her late dog, Lucy, to enter the veterinary medical field. Melissa received a bachelor's degree in animal science from Texas State University in 2012. GO BOBCATS! That same year, she started her career as a veterinary technician, working at general practice clinics in New Braunfels.

2014 found Mel in San Antonio and in specialty practice at Blue Pearl. She spent 8 years and worked at two Blue Pearl hospitals, finding a niche for wound care and orthopedics, then ultimately found an absolute love for Critical Care. Melissa currently lives in Spring Branch with husband Kevin surrounded by the beautiful Texas Hill Country as well as countless deer, horses, chickens and llamas. She enjoys being an auntie on her days off to her nieces and nephew, as well as running, enjoying the Texas sun, going to the shooting range, or binging Netflix.

Melissa loves the intensive, personalized care of patients and supporting the unbreakable bond between pets and their owners. Mel’s passion for veterinary medicine includes being the best advocate for the patients that she serves. She believes it is truly a gift to work with animals and give them back the love, trust, and patience they give us. Her sense of humor and ability to “keep it fresh” keeps her coworkers entertained, and she loves being able to help mold and grow the young technicians of the future!
